Modebo was one of the 5 companies selected as finalists for the IBM Smart Camp in Mexico. Smart Camp is a global contest gathering technology startups, entrepreneurs and companies with world-class entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts. These mentoring and networking events put entrepreneurs in touch with experts that can help accelerate their business. Modebo is also part of IBM's Global Entrepreneur Program.
Modebo will be attending Startup Alley in TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco in september 2012. We're representing Mexico and Latin America in the International Alley.
Organized by The Next Web, Startup World is a worldwide contest to select the final 36 startups in the world that will compete for the title of the best startup in the world in Silicon Valley. Modebo won the ticket to represent Mexico in this international contest.
Wayra Mexico has begun its second generation academy in Telefonica's headquarters in Mexico City. The Academy will consist of the acceleration for a year of the Wayra Startups. We will have expert mentors, conferences and a lot of tools for developing our company for a global market.
Wayra Week Mexico has finished after 3 days of pitching and preparation. Modebo was elected as 1 of the 10 winners of Wayra Mexico. Wayra is an accelerator powered by Telefonica that will fund those 10 companies and prepare them for an aggresive development program.
